Coolamon – Colours of Country

I find myself distracted by looking at the colours in the landscape, particularly the change in colours on Country at different times of the day, and during different weather. The layering of colour draws my eye in and I find myself constantly painting the landscape in my head, selecting colours that mix into specific hues. As a result of this, I created this technique of colour layering and mixing in my cracked earth style to provide an insight into my love of exploring and recreating colours of Country.

Artwork Information:

• Painted with acrylic on Ironbark. Sealed with 3 coats of lacquer.
• Display artefact only. It is recommended that nothing is placed directly the artwork.
• To clean, use a mildly damp cloth and gently wipe with a soft cloth.
• Colours may appear differently on your screen.
• Non-food safe.
